Patient Information : 85-year old man, referred with visible lesion in Barrett esophagus
Medical History : Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy for long-standing complaints of heartburn revealed a visible lesion in Barrett esophagus
Case video
This video shows a pull back in white light, where the Barrett segment is seen with a suspicous lesion from 2-4 o’clock distally, extending to a more elevated lesion from 4-6 o’clock more proximally. Upon more detailed inspection using NBI and near focus, the mucosal and vascular pattern can be assessed, which confirm the suspicion of neoplasia.
